Glacier National Park plow crews are now beyond The Loop on the west side of the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The Camas Road is now open to vehicles.

The road is closed to vehicles at the Lake McDonald Lodge. When crews are plowing, hikers and bikers can go as far as Avalanche Creek, but when crews aren’t plowing, there are no restrictions.

Park spokesperson Denise Germann said she anticipates minimal construction delays on the Sun Road during weekends on the lower section of road. But once the upper end is plowed — likely in May if the weather holds, construction crews will probably work seven days a week from Haystack Creek to Big Bend.

Avalanche danger continues in the high country, particularly with fresh snow that fell over the past week.

On the east side, crews are plowing the Two Medicine Road. The east side of the Sun Road is open to vehicles as far as Rising Sun, but there are no hiker-biker restrictions beyond that.
