Joann Overcast

Joann (Braaten) Overcast, 75, died of natural causes on March 31, 2012, at Pondera Medical Center, in Conrad.

She was born Aug. 12, 1936, to Jens and Agnes Braaten. She resided with her family in Williston, N.D.

Joann married Darrell Overcast in Havre on Oct. 25, 1960. They raised their family in Martin City. Because Darrell was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad, they moved to various towns in Montana. 

Survivors include daughters Cindy Gallagher and husband Guy, of Fargo, N.D., Darla Overcast and husband Jon Glessner, of Marion, and Dana Baldwin and husband Doug, of Conrad; sons Dennis Overcast, of Martin City, and Darren Overcast, of Columbia Falls; sisters Linda Rognlien, of Williston, N.D., and Renelle Braaten, of Havre; brother Steve Braaten, of Havre; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services took place at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, in Conrad, on April 5, 2012. Memorials can be made to the Conrad Orpheum Theatre Projector Fund, Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, or the donor’s choice.
