Glacier Park band to perform at Canyon bike path fundraiser

The Gateway-to-Glacier business group will hold a fundraiser for its proposed bike path from Coram to West Glacier at the Stonefly Lounge, in Coram, on Saturday, April 14.

The event will begin with a pig roast at 6 p.m. Music will follow at 7 p.m. There will also be a silent auction, raffle, door prizes and souvenir pint glasses.

The Belton Blues Band, five men with close ties to Glacier National Park, will perform blues, rock and roll, country and even surfing music.

The band includes retired Park fire management officer Fred Vanhorn on vocals, U.S. Geological Survey climate scientist Dan Fagre on bass, Park exotic pest specialist Gary Ludwig on rhythm guitar, Park backcountry chalet manager Lanny Luding on drums and vocals, and Park mountain climber Leo Govenettio on harmonica.
