Spring is in the air, cherry trees are getting ready to blossom and the “Everything Cherry” exhibit and event at the Bigfork Museum of Art & History is drawing near.

While the “Everything Cherry” event will open Friday, May 4 and continue through May 26, deadlines for artists, craftsmen and exhibitors is rapidly approaching. April 14 is the deadline for artists and craftsman to submit entries for the juried art exhibit.

Businesses interested in exhibiting their products or placing them in the gift shop should contact museum director Marnie Forbis by April 17. All local businesses that produce products from Flathead cherries are invited to exhibit.

All artists and artisans are invited to submit works for the juried art show.Paintings, sculpture, wood, photographs and fabric are just some of the art media the museum will be showing. Items at any price are welcome for submission and the artists and craftsmen will receive the majority of proceeds from all sales.

Photographs and items relating to cherry growing or production are also being sought for an exhibit telling the story of cherries in the Flathead. Forbis can be reached at 837-6927 or info@bigforkmuseum.org.
