Teen goes missing at high school dance

A 17-year-old male has been missing since he left a dance at Columbia Falls High School on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office received a report about the missing teenager on Monday. The last reported contact was when the boy told a friend he was going to walk home from the dance.

The boy's family has had difficulties with him in the past, but this time they felt something may have happened to him. He wasn't carrying a backpack, jacket, phone or money when he disappeared.

The boy's father reported that his son had been calling a girl in Boise, Idaho, and perhaps he headed out that way.
