Lady Dogs down Kats
The Lady Bulldogs knocked off rival
Columbia Falls for the second time this season, posting a 25-14,
17-25, 25-20, 25-15 league victory Saturday.
Emily Sullivan and Abby Strellnauer had
nine kills each and Baylee Tveidt had six blocks to lead
Whitefish.
After Whitefish dominated the first
set, Columbia Falls came back with the support of their home crowd.
Whitefish, however, pulled away at the end of the third game and
then cruised in the final frame.
“We came out really strong and were
able to run through the middle a lot better,” Whitefish coach Sarah
Scott said. “That’s a big part of our game.”
The Lady Bulldogs had 33 total kills,
30 assists and 12 blocks. Tveidt led with four of the team’s 13
aces.
Scott commended Tveidt and Brooke
Silliker for their work at the net.
“That made the difference,” Scott said.
“They’ve working really hard.”
