Gilbert Zimbelman

Gilbert Edward Zimbelman, 93, of Great Falls passed away Sept. 2, 2011.

Gilbert was born Jan. 13, 1918. He and his wife, Othilda Irene "Tillie" Zimbelman, operated dude ranches in Lincoln and Spotted Bear. For more than 50 years, they guided trips into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. They also owned the Sundance Campground in Coram.

He is survived by his wife; children Jerry Zimbelman and wife Karlyn, of Conrad, Jean Cyr and husband LeRoy, of East Helena, Larry Zimbelman and wife Beth, of Conrad, and Linda Fee and husband Rob, of Friendswood, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services took place Sept. 13, 2011, at the Brady Methodist Church, in Brady, with Gilbert's nephew, Alan Tronson, officiating. Internment was at the Conrad Cemetery, in Conrad.
