Brien Pyles

Brien Edward Pyles, 49, of Martin City, passed away Aug. 29, 2011, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Brien was born Sept. 20, 1961, in Kalispell, the son of Thomas and Bernadine (Snyder) Pyles.

He considered himself the "Canyon Counselor" and was a lifetime member of the South Fork Saloon Patrons Association.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Pyles, of Kalispell; father Thomas Pyles, and stepmother Sandi Pyles, both of Martin City; sisters Linda Trumble, of Covington, Wash., Susan Jones, of Helena, and Audrey Snyder, of Conrad; brothers Thomas Pyles Jr., of Millersville, Md., and Russ Pyles, of Columbia Falls; stepbrothers Anthony Lufkin and Ryan Gikiere, both of Kalispell; stepsister Jennifer Gikiere, of Martin City; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Brien's life was held Sept. 3, 2011, at the South Fork Saloon, in Martin City.
