The Wildcats couldn't find the back of the net last week as they fell to the Libby Loggers at home on Sept. 8.

Four different Loggers scored unassisted goals as Libby (1-0-0, 2-1-1) shut out the Columbia Falls boys 4-0 in Northern A play. The Loggers' first score came just four minutes into the game, and mentally, the Wildcats didn't recover.

"We gave up that early goal," coach Peter Browne said, and the team psychologically had a "meltdown."

The Cats start five players who never played soccer at a varsity level until now.

Keeper Anthony Correa had five saves in the losing effort, as Columbia Falls dropped to 1-1-0, 1-5-0.

Next up for the Cats is the Whitefish Bulldogs in Whitefish on Sept. 15.

"We just need to compete," Browne said. "If we're not competitive, it will be a long night."
