Tabish, Platke finish in top 5 at state
Whitefish’s boys golf team wrapped up a
third-place finish last weekend at the Class A state golf
tournament in Hamilton. Bulldog senior Reed Platke tied for fifth
place with a two-day total of 150.
Platke injured his wrist during the
final round, but still managed to finish play. The senior was a
state runner-up his freshman and junior seasons and won it as a
sophomore.
The top 15 individuals earn all-state
honors.
Whitefish sophomore Arthur Doorn missed
all-state by a stroke. The boys two-day total was 653.
The Lady Bulldgos earned a fourth-place
finish led by Erin Tabish. The sophomore took third-place and was
seven strokes back of medalist McKenzie Webinger of Laurel. Her
two-day total was 165.
Whitefish’s total score was 813.
