Finally, a W. The Columbia Falls volleyball team got its first win of the season on its home court Sept. 30 as they downed conference foe Frenchtown in straight games, 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.

Gabrielle Stenger had 10 kills and Hope Burlage had 15 assists and four aces in the victory. Shaun Rowe had 27 digs.

Frenchtown had some rallies to make things interesting, but the Kats kept it together to get the victory. It was the first time the team has won a match in almost a year. Their last full match victory was during divisionals last season when they beat Libby.

The Kats will face a tough opponent this week when they travel to Polson on Thursday. Polson is 5-2 overall and 3-1 in conference. On Saturday, the Kats face Libby away. Like the Kats, the Lady Loggers have just one victory.
