Patricia Johnson

Patricia M. Johnson, 88, passed away Nov. 19, 2011, at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Patricia was born in Helena in 1923 and arrived in Whitefish with her parents, Thomas and Corrine Brunett Mooney, soon after.

Patricia was well known for her singing. She performed with many groups including with the University of Montana choir, for weddings, in the church choir and for many functions. She was an avid rock-hound and maintained a mineral display at the Whitefish Library. Travel was one of her passions, and she traveled extensively in Asia and Alaska as well as years visiting the American Southwest collecting rocks.

She was preceded in death by a son Gregory; her mother and father Thomas Mooney and Corinne Jones; her husband George Johnson; and granddaughter Holly Tobias.

She is survived by her children Carmen Pierce, Brian Johnson, Eric Johnson, Stephen Johnson and Rochelle "Bee" Bickel; grandchildren Wendy Price, Greg Hamilton and Stephen Johnson; and great granddaughter Amanda Tobias. She will be missed by all.
