Border bill

The Democratic spin machine has latched on to H.R. 1505 with a hunger that rivals a grizzly bear smelling a recently killed elk. In their desire to protect the Obama-agenda protecting Sen. Jon Tester, they have resorted to lies, obfuscations and disingenuous claims that H.R. 1505 will give to the Homeland Security Agency dictatorial powers. Nothing could be further from the truth. However, let us look as some simple facts.

Tens of thousands of illegal (by definition that makes them criminals) immigrants cross the American borders every year. These "invaders" destroy the environment that they cross, leaving their trash, trails and refuse in such quantities that pristine national treasures have been irrevocably destroyed.

If you don't believe this writer, just visit the Southern border. Disregarding the consequential social, criminal and economic costs of this "invasion," the environmental damage of this phenomenon has far exceeded the potential damage that would be entailed by a few Border Patrol agents being allowed to enter federal property to effectively patrol the border.

Currently, federal agencies (Departments of Interior and Forest Service) deny entrance to federal property by federal law enforcement agents in the name of environmentalism. How stupid is that?

H.B. 1505 is not an attempt to strip the environmental protections from our national treasures. It is an attempt to install some common sense into an issue of national security and allow Border Patrol (and only Border Patrol) agents appropriate access to federal lands in order to do their job, i.e. defend the sovereignty of the United States of America. 

Do not be deceived by the "spin" of those who would try any tactic and are willing to pay any price to protect their ideological friends.
