Whitefish riders earn top results at Stomp Games
Local skiers and snowboarders
represented Whitefish well at the annual Stomp Games at Schweitzer
Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho. The games, held March 18-20,
feature slope-style and boarder-cross events and is considered one
of the biggest events in the region.
Maggie Voisin took first place in the
women’s skier slope-style with a best run of 75 points. She took
second place overall in the Big Boot Stomp Session, which features
a single rail or jump.
Hayden Eaton was third in the boys
snowboard 14-15 year-old slope-style division, with a best run of
44 points. He was third in the snowboard Ridex for the same age
group.
Nine-year-old Ladd Costain was second
in his age group in the Grom Stomp Games skier slopestyle, with a
best run of 152 points.
Parkin Costain, 11, was first overall
in the boys 10-11 skier slope-style, with a best score of 173
points. His score was the highest of all competitors in all age
groups. He finished second in the Grom Stomp skier-cross races.
