Senior party

The parents of the Class of 2011 meet Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square to plan the senior class party.

Book sale

The Columbia Falls Library Association will hold a book sale Friday, March 18 at Glacier Discover Square from noon to 5 p.m.

Babe Ruth

The Glacier Babe Ruth is hosting its first annual auction fundraiser at the Blue Moon Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. followed by live music. Visit glacierbaberuth.com and contact a board member from the website if you'd like to donate any items. All proceeds will go to Glacier Babe Ruth baseball. Glacier Babe Ruth is hosting the 13-year-old state tournament in July.

Co-op meeting

The Flathead Electric Cooperative's 74th Annual Members' Meeting will be held March 19 at the Christian Center in Kalispell. Registration and refreshments will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a short business meeting to commence at 10 a.m.

Gardening

A Gardening Seminar will be held Thursday, March 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. The seminar will focus on soil, composting and hot bed construction for early spring planting. Contact Cindy at cindyshaw518@yahoo.com for more information.

Photo talks

Hungry Horse News photographer Chris Peterson will give two talks and show cool photos of Glacier Park scenics, wildlife and plants. "Celebrating Glacier's Centennial, a Backcountry Botanical Journey" will be at the Montana Native Plant Society meeting at Glacier Discovery Square at 7 p.m. March 16 in Columbia Falls. The public is also invited to a Plant Society general meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Steak feed

The North Valley Eagles Auxiliary 4081 will have a steak feed Friday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 a person. Reservations asked for parties of five or more. Call 892-2006. Public welcome.
