Swimmers take sixth at Cut Bank

The Columbia Falls swim team took sixth at Cut Bank last weekend. The team was led by Tyler Langton, who took high point in the 8-and-under division.

Langton also teamed up with Trevor Gates, James Role and Jacob Hohman to win the age 9-10 boys medley relay. Vincent Erickson was second in the 15-19 age group.

"The swimmers did a great job all around, especially with conditions," assistant coach Zach Levitt said. "It was sunny, windy and hot on Saturday and then cloudy, windy and very cold on Sunday."

Levitt said they also saw solid performances from newcomers Jasmine Marino and Jacob Hohman. Zayne Friar also continues to improve in the 50 free and 50 butterfly, he said.

Bitterroot won the meet. The Cats will hold their home meet this Saturday and Sunday, with hundreds of swimmers in town.
