Horace Sanders

Horace D. Sanders, 79, died May 30, 2011, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

He served in the Army and graduated from Montana State College, Bozeman with a degree in range management. He worked 30 years as a resource manager with the Bureau of Land Management.

Horace was a member of the Great Northern Historical Trail and the Glacier National Park Associates, where he worked on upgrading trails, painting and repairing Park buildings.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat; children Greg and Nancy Sanders, of Yokosuka, Japan, Connie Sanders and husband Robert Loeffler, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Heidi Foster and husband Ken, of Hemet, Calif.; five grandchildren; one great grandson; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
