Hans Nielsen

Hans Leonard Nielsen, 68, passed away on July 17, 2011, at Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation in Whitefish.

Hans was born May 24, 1943, in Havre to Hendrick and Mildred (Zellmer) Ehlers. He was raised in Hogeland and Columbia Falls and attended schools in Columbia Falls. Hans enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.

Hans was preceded in death by his wife Willie and father Hendrick.

He is survived by his mother Mildred Nielsen; son Duane Nielsen; daughter Bobbie Rae Nielsen; siblings Anna and Lester Black, of Federal Way, Wash., Corliss and Bill Carr, of Anderson, Calif., Gloria and Art Schroeder, of Kalispell, and John and Diane Nielsen, of Columbia Falls; grandchild Kyle Nielsen; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held July 22, 2011, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 401 Seventh Street W., Columbia Falls MT 59912.
