The West packed away a 24-3 victory in the 65th annual Montana East-West Shrine football game on Saturday night at the Laurel Sports Complex. A swarming West defense limited the East to 223 total yards while forcing eight punts.

A fake punt that gained little set up the West's final touchdown, a 12-yard run by Columbia Falls' Nate Thompson with 6:43 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The oldest high school all-star football game in the country, the Shrine game has raised more than $1 million for the Shriner's Hospital for Children in Spokane, Wash.
