Frances Hawk

Frances Duane Hawk, 78, died June 29, 2011.

She was born in Kalispell on Nov. 1, 1932, to Laura Jane and Bert Calbick and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1950.She married Richard Hawk on Dec. 13, 1950.

Duane was very involved in community service, including Flathead Search and Rescue, Red Cross and East Valley QRU.

She is survived by her husband Dick; sons Rick and wife Sandie, of Kalispell, George and wife Katina, of Columbia Falls, and Bruce and wife Toni, of Battle Mountain, Nev.; adopted daughter Ruth Gibbs and husband John, of Kalispell; sister Diane Derby and husband Len; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

At Duane's request, the family is planning a private memorial and spreading of her ashes.
