LETTER: Pride for the community
We have always been proud to be part of Bigfork and Swan Lake, but after the first week of October 2010, we were overflowing with love and pride!
Our son got married on Oct. 2 and over 125 of the guests were from out of the state. To say that they were impressed with our little corner of heaven is an understatement. I want to give special recognition to BruMar for a fabulous catered rehearsal dinner at our home on Swan Lake and the wedding and reception at BruMar.
Everything was perfect, and I mean that. Pocketstone Cafe fed a lot of them from before the wedding until at least the Monday after, for both breakfast and lunch, some eating there more that eight times. La Provence for a fabulous bridal luncheon, and the Swan Bar and Grill and the Garden Bar for group fun.
Everyone spoke of the wonderful shops and I know that The Jug Tree, Eva Gates, Bay Gifts and Electric Avenue Gifts were some of the favorites. The accommodations at The Timbers, The Cottages, Laughing Horse and the condos at Osborn were fantastic.
Being the parents of the groom and on your home turf can come with it’s own issues, but thank you to all of our friends and fellow business people who made it the best event in our lives. I know that I missed someone important and I apologize. It is not on purpose and does not diminish your importance. Thank you!
