Weekend stabbing leaves one man injured

One man is in the hospital and another has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Hungry Horse Saturday.

The stabbing was reported at 12:45 a.m. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responded and found Travis Bacon, 31, with multiple stab wounds.

According to Sheriff Chuck Curry Bacon had wounds to his back, chest, neck and head.

Bacon was taken by ALERT helicopter to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition.

Deputies arrested Christopher Croft, 20, and charged him with attempted deliberate homicide in the incident.

The stabbing reportedly occurred during an altercation between the two men. The incident remains under investigation.

In the past the Columbia Falls Police Department charged Bacon with numerous infractions including stalking and violation of a temporary restraining order.
