Children’s House Montessori School would like to thank the community for their support of the International Wildlife Film Festival which was held on Jan. 22 at the O’Shaughnessy. The tour was made possible due to the generous support of the River Design Group, with additional contributions from Swank Enterprises, Davidson Construction and Imagination Station.

Many families came early to experience native animal exhibits and view the winning posters from the first annual Montana Wildlife Poster Contest. We would like to thank Lynn Vaught, of Wildlife Return, for bringing live raptors to share with families at the event. We would also like to thank the Forest Service, Glacier National Park, Flathead Audubon Society and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks for contributing items for the wildlife displays.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped at the event, especially those who helped with the wildlife displays. We would also like to thank all of the parents who helped plan the event and those that baked snacks for intermission. Thank you to Heather Dolan for leading the children on the wild animal parade at intermission.

And finally, thank you to the O’Shaughnessy Center for their support in bringing this festival tour to Whitefish. Children’s House Montessori School is already looking forward to our next Wildlife Film Festival Tour in 2012.
