Gerald Hough

Gerald Edward Hough, 74, passed away Dec. 7, 2011, at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a three-year battle with cancer.

Jerry was born Aug. 30, 1937, in O'Neil, Neb., to Clark A. and Anna Rose Hough. He married Murleen Wahl in 1973. They started Glacier Carriers in Columbia Falls in 1980 and operated it until 2006, when he retired. Jerry was president of the Montana Motor Carriers in 1996.

He is survived by his wife; children Leiann Scee and husband Dave, of Mount Vernon, Wash., Alisa Dove and husband Roy, of Selah, Wash., Devin Hough and wife Tiffini, of Columbia Falls, Cherr'e Lappe and husband Randy, of Rocky Rapids, Alberta, and Jay Wahl and wife Jennifer, of Burbank, Calif.; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brothers Dave Hough, of Big Lake, Wash., and Steve Hough, of Thompson Falls.

Private family services will be held at a later time.
