Laura Jean Newman

Laura Jean Newman, 32, passed away Dec.

11, 2011 from complications of heart failure with her siblings by

her side in Kalispell.

Our sweet smiling Laura was born on

Nov. 1, 1979 in Missoula and lived in Whitefish for the past seven

years. Laura also lived in Bothell, Wash. from 2001-2004.

Laura was an excellent cook and enjoyed

making meals for family and friends. She spent time gardening and

canning a lot of the items she used in her cooking. Laura also

loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking. Laura

had a beautiful singing voice and wrote and played her own music on

the piano in her youth.

Laura is preceded in death by her

parents, Ron and Cathy Newman; her significant other, Tom Sagen;

her sister, Linda Newman; her grandparents, Roger and Vivian

Brotzman, Ellen Meyers and Herbert Newman.

Laura is survived by her son, Michael

Taylor; her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Coles; her

brother, Brian Newman; her sister, Sandy Henes; her nieces, Jessica

Dolan and Brooke Coles; her nephews, T.J. Wallace and Louis Henes;

aunts and uncles, Jan and Butch Hubbell, Connie and Rockie Bare,

Linda Inman, and Ken and Fran Newman. She will also be missed by

her best friends Sandy and Marty Cole and Dan McGarry and several

cousins and close friends.
