William Moser
William "Bill" Moser, 67, passed away at his home in Martin City on Aug. 24, 2011. He was born in Norristown, Pa., on Oct. 26, 1943, the son of Jacob Daniel Moser II and Cecelia Agnes (Belcoski) Moser.
Bill grew up in an "Our Gang" type neighborhood in Jeffersonville, Pa. Even as a kid, he had a passion for hunting and always enjoyed sharing his game. He even learned to tan hides so nothing would be wasted. He later took pride in showing visitors his living room museum.
He graduated from Norristown High School in 1961 and began working with his dad at Jacob D. Moser Cabinets. A master carpenter, he loved working with wood, honing and shaping it into beautiful things like cabinets, furniture and lamps. He was fascinated with countless species of wood and studied and collected samples from all over the world. Bill also loved taking his family sapphire digging, and enjoyed collecting stones, coins and knives.
In 1964, he married Judith Walters, of Annandale, Va., his beloved wife of 47 years. Bill, Judy and their children, Teresa and Jason, moved to Montana with the Moser family in 1971, where he helped re-establish the family business, Moser Cabinets, and was a former member of Flathead Building Association.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Jacob D. Moser, Jr.; brother J. Daniel Moser III; and nephew Lt. Travis Moser.
He is survived by his wife Judith, of Martin City; daughter Teresa Ingbertsen and husband Ronny, of Martin City; son Jason Moser and wife Holli, of Chesapeake, Va.; grandson Corey; granddaughters Emily, Jalynn and Kim; mother Cecelia; sister Nancy; brothers Larry and Chris and wife Pam; sister-in-law June Moser; many beloved nieces and nephews; and special friend Clay Johnson.
The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Bill may be made to the Martin City Fire Department and Canyon Quick Response Unit.
Bill fought and won his battle against cancer in 2010. For the past year, he reclaimed the simple joys in his life and passed suddenly but peacefully.
A celebration of life will be held at the Mosers' ranch in Martin City on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at 2 p.m. followed by a traditional Moser family picnic.
