Northwest Montana Fair results
The following Columbia Falls area residents were winners at the Northwest Montana Fair:
PRCA Rodeo
Columbia Falls rider Matt Triplett tied for third in the bull riding event. Triplett rode King of the Road on Aug. 19 for a score of 79 and a purse of $762.53.
Beau Hill, of West Glacier, rode Monkey Business without making the money list.
Market Stock Sale
More than 200 steers, hogs, and lambs were auctioned at the 2011 Northwest Montana Fair's Market Stock Sale, grossing nearly $266,000.
Local 4H and FFA members sold a total of 34 steers, 122 hogs, and 49 lambs to local businesses and residents.
Local winner was, Reserve Champion Market Lamb, Lindsay Strouse, Columbia Falls, a 131-pound lamb purchased by Les Schwab Tire for $851.50.
