Hunter education classes scheduled

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Hunter Education classes will be held at Columbia Falls High School (enter at east entrance) on Sept. 13, 15, 19, 20, 22, 27 and 29, and Oct. 3. The field course will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1. For more information, contact Wade Fish, lead instructor, at 862-6359.

Registration for the Columbia Falls course will take place Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 6-8 p.m. at the Columbia Falls City Hall in the Council Chambers. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at registration and must attend all classes to be certified.

All hunter education classes are free and open to hunters and non-hunters alike. By state law, anyone born after Jan.1, 1985, must complete the course to buy a hunting license in Montana. The minimum age for hunting in Montana is 12.
