John Jorgenson

John Lee Jorgenson, 63, has been received in the arms of Jesus our Lord on July 28, 2011.

John was born March 2, 1948, to Ray and Ruth Jorgenson in Polson. He attended grade school at Camas Prairie and finished high school at Hot Springs in 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard on Jan. 23, 1967, and was honorably discharged Jan. 22, 1972.

In 1968, he married Linda Amundson in Ketchican, Alaska. Three children were born into this marriage, Joy Lynn, Lance and Jason. He later returned to Sanders County for ranch work.

He married Carla Webb on June 13, 1981. He worked 15 years for Plum Creek at Columbia Falls. He loved hunting, camping and packing into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. He enjoyed having lots of family around.

John is preceded in death by his mother Ruth, son Jason and stepson Joseph.

He is survived by his wife Carla, father Ray, sister Peggy, brothers Roger and wife Anita, Glen and wife Jennie, daughter Joy Lynn and husband Mike, son Lance and wife Priscilla, as well as numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

A memorial service ws held at the Camas Praire gymnasium on Aug. 3, 2011.
