County growth policy work continues

The Flathead County Planning Board is moving on to Phase 3 in their update of the county growth policy by reviewing each chapter to ensure all pertinent data and maps are up to date.

The work will begin Wednesday, Aug. 10, with Chapter 1, "The Character of Flathead County," and Chapter 2, "Land Uses." Additional workshops include Aug. 24, Chapters 3 and 4; Sept. 7, Chapters 6 and 7; Sept. 21, Chapters 8 and 9; and Oct. 5, Chapters 10 and 11.

Workshops will be held in the second floor conference room of the Earl Bennett Building at 6 p.m. Drafts can be found online at http://flathead.mt.gov/planning_zoning and following the "Growth Policy" link on the left side of the webpage.
