One-horned goat returns
Once again, you have lifted my spirits and helped me make it through another day in the East. I'm from Montana and was raised in the Flathead Valley. I've been working in the East and so look forward each week to reading both the Inter Lake and the Hungry Horse News.
You would not guess, since I have been reading them online, how many of my coworkers have also become interested in the valley news and remark constantly how wonderful it is to read a paper that has much more good news than bad.
The world has become a sad place, but seeing your pictures and reading about neighbors helping neighbors, time after time, has made a difference in how they view their lives. I hear a lot more good mornings and hear a lot more conversation about the environment than I ever heard from here before.
They talked about the one-horned goat, with true concern over his health and if he would be OK. It's the goat that everyone took pictures of in the Park. They actually have conversations at lunch, not of gossip, but of what to do about the rapidly disappearing forests. Even though many of them have never been to a large forest, they still are learning to care.
All because I read a little newspaper and share the news, good and bad, with my co-workers. For you who have this at your doorstep, remember - slow down and take a deep breath, and enjoy. Thank you.
