The House District 3 candidates will participate in a public forum Thursday, Sept. 23 from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. Come and learn more about each candidate and where they stand on the issues.

Book sale

The Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale is Sept. 24-26 at the Kalispell Center Mall. A barrel for donations will be set up at the Columbia Falls branch. Proceeds from the sale support the Flathead County Library system.

Chamber sale

The 13th annual Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce Garage Sale is Friday, Oct. 1 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. to noon at 400 Ninth St. West. Clean our your store, garage or home. Pick up is available for donated goods (please, no clothing) or drop of items Sept. 29 and 30 from noon to 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit city projects, including the Children’s Holiday Village and the new city sign. Hunger walk

The United Methodist CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. The walk helps raise funds to provide food and water to families around the world, with 25 percent going to the Columbia Falls Food Bank. For more information visit www.churchworldservice.org.
