District gets recognition for food service

The Somers-Lakeside School District will receive state recognition today, Oct. 27, for its food service program.

Members of the Montana Office of Public Instruction and Team Nutrition will be present at assemblies at both of the district’s schools to give the Healthier Montana Menu Challenge award. The district is only the seventh in the state to receive this award.

The assemblies will be at 11:45 a.m. at Somers Middle School and 2:45 p.m. at Lakeside Elementary School. Lunch will be served following the ceremony at the middle school.
