Mary Moore

Mary Jane Moore, 87, formerly of

Millersville, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 17, 2010, at St.

Anne’s Retirement Community, in Columbia, Pa.

Mary Jane was born June 4, 1923, in

Williamsport, Pa, the daughter of Harry Chester and Mary E.

(Leisenring) Crowl. She was married to Harry F. Moore for more than

41 years. Harry died in1986.

Mary Jane was a longtime and active

member of the First United Methodist Church of Millersville, where

she participated in the Meals on Wheels Program. She was also a

member of the Millersville Lioness Club and enjoyed watching the

Little League World Series and Penn State football.

She is survived by her daughter

Patricia Kanaskie and husband Carl, of Millersville; son James

Moore, of Lancaster; and sister Elizabeth Kelley, of Whitefish.

Funeral Services were held at the Grace

United Methodist Church, in Millersville, on Nov. 20, 2010, with

Rev. John A. Laughlin Sr. officiating. Interment was in the

Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
