Copies of the "Whitefish Winter Carnival" documentary film will be available at the Stumptown Historical Society on May 26.

The movie, created by local filmmaker Adam Pitman, captures the sights and sounds of Whitefish's epic monthlong event and tells the history of the Carnival and the people behind it today.

Single copies are priced at $25, with all proceeds going to the Stumptown Historical Society. Those who pre-ordered the DVD at the film's premiere can pick up their copies on May 26.

The film has been edited to one hour and 35 minutes running time, 10 minutes shorter than the director's cut. The DVD includes an hour of bonus material, including deleted scenes.

The cover art was created by local illustrator Jeff Arcel.

Pitman said the DVD is designed to be a keepsake and will likely be "a prized possession at many households in town."
