Welcoming the return of summer

Summer is arriving in the Village, though the weather doesn't always show it.

Instead of by the sun, you can see the signs of it by the increase in traffic on Electric Avenue and throughout town. License plates are diversifying.

Here at the Bigfork Eagle office we can tell by the volume of people who have come in or called in the past week to chat or to change the address on their subscription back to their Bigfork home.

And perhaps most obvious are the preparations at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts, which is getting scrubbed clean for opening night of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse tomorrow.

As "Forbidden Broadway" director David Cody said, "The joint is jumping."

Welcome back, summer.
