The Hungry Horse News will host the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours on Thursday, March 11 from 5-7 p.m. Mel Ruder and Chris Peterson photos will be on display. Refreshments will be served.
Friday
The Glacier Author Book Fair will be Friday, March 12 at 6 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. Sumio Harada, Sharon Midkiff Randolph, and other local authors will join in an evening of stories, slides, book signings, food and fun. Music will be by Joe Procita.
Fish Fry Friday
The Knights of Columbus Council 7009 of St. Richard’s Catholic Church is sponsoring Fish Fry Fridays during Lent. Events are downstairs in St. Richard’s Catholic Church starting at 6:30 p.m. on the following Friday’s during Lent: March 12, 19 and 26. The meal includes fish (cod), fries, coleslaw and a drink. Cost is $7/per person or $25/family.
Saturday
A benefit for Dave and Geri Cochrane will be Saturday, March 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fellowship Alliance Church at 1025 7th Ave. W. Dave was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2004. A lasagna dinner and silent auction will be held. Cost is $5 per individual, $10 for a family of four and $15 for a family of five and up. Those who bring a non-perishable food item will receive a raffle ticket for a prize drawing.
Sunday
The Grand Madam President Jean Kerr from Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, will be visiting North Valley #4081 Eagles Auxiliary on Sunday, March 14. The Columbia Falls Women’s Connection meets Wednesday, March 17 at the North Valley Community Room at 11:30 a.m. Speakers will be Angie Hansford on “Traveling in Style” and Sandy Oertli on “Single and Satisfied.” Cost is $8 and child care is provided by registration.
