The West Glacier Farmers Market is Fridays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in West Glacier. The market runs through Sept. 3.

Join Glacier Park bontanist Jennifer Hintz on a hike to Piegan Pass on Saturday, Aug. 7. This alpine site is included within Montana’s first designated Important Plant area. This is a relatively long hike (9 miles round-trip), so bring a lunch, ample water for the day, sunscreen and extra clothing. The group will meet at 8 a.m. at the Super 1 Parking lot in Whitefish, or at 8:30 a.m. at Coffee Traders in Columbia Falls to car pool. The North Fork Land Use Advisory Committee will meet Saturday, Aug. 7 at Sondreson Community Hall at 7 p.m. until 8 pm to discuss the setbacks from the North Fork Road. All North Fork landowners are encouraged to attend. For more information phone 888-5084.

The Gateway to Glacier Trail group will hold an organizational meeting Monday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Canyon Community Church in Coram. The group will work toward building a walking and biking trail from Coram to Glacier National Park. For more information, contact Valerie Parsons at 387-5282.

The Flathead County invites area teens entering grades 6-12 to a watercolor painting workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Discovery Square.The workshop will take place from 3- 5 p.m. Teens will learn basic watercoloring techniques and have the opportunity to work with instructor Barbara Beckwith on creating beautiful and unique watercolor paintings.
