Donations needed for Lakeside Community Fair

The Lakeside Community Club is asking for community help in its continuing efforts to aid the many "essential care" non-profit organizations in the Valley that it contributes to every year.

Without community support, firefighters might not have the life-saving equipment they need, many people would go hungry and animals at the shelter wouldn't have the sturdy wire kennels they now have to keep them safe.

These are just a few examples of how your donations make a difference in the community.

How can you help?

If you are a business, can you donate a service or a product to the silent auction? If not, please look through your home for items that you no longer have a need for, because if you don't there is someone that can make use of it.

These items would be sold through "Attic Treasures' — they are cleaned up, and made nice for someone else.

The 21st Lakeside Community Fair is Saturday, July 17, at the Lakeside Elementary School.

There's fun for everyone in the family — pancake breakfast, watemelon-eating contest, 5K run/walk, silent auction, Attic Treasures, bake sale, arts and crafts, split the pot, food court and homemade peanut brittle.

The Lakeside Community Club has been helping the community for over 100 years.
