Sizable donation aides holiday streetlight effort

| January 28, 2010 11:00 PM

An $8,000 donation from Glacier Park, Inc. will help the Columbia Falls Lions Club purchase new holiday streetlights for 2010.

The local Lions' three-year fundraising campaign had fallen short by that amount.

"This donation is an expression of our pride in the Town of Columbia Falls," GPI President and General Manager Cindy Ognjanov said. "We hope this enhancement to our town's annual tradition of holiday streetlights will bring enjoyment to residents and visitors next winter and beyond."

GPI's year-round office is located in Columbia Falls. GPI is an independent hotel operator as well as a concessioner of Glacier National Park, providing lodging accommodations, food and beverage services, retail operations, and tour and transportation services throughout Glacier and Waterton-Lakes National Parks.
