Verna McNamara

Verna McNamara, 68, a Fremont, Calif., resident for the past 20 years, died on Jan. 28, 2010 in a Fremont hospital. Born and raised in Cut Bank, she lived for extended periods in both Helena and Columbia Falls before moving to California in 1989.

Verna was born July 16, 1941 to George and Mae Luchi and is survived by sisters, Anitta Farmer and Gloria Alexander, former husband Del McNamara, sons Mike and Ron and daughter Roxyanne Severance. She also had seven grandchildren, Lacianne, Kyle, Aaron, Michael, Shane, Jacquelyn, and Joseph and two great-grandchildren, Bryanna and Avery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sylvia Moore and brother Cork Luchi.

At her request a memorial service was held at the home of her sister, Anitta Farmer and Steve Mann. As was her nature, always trying to help people, she donated her body to science at University of California, San Francisco Medical.

Verna was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed.
