Guin Beller passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

She had recently celebrated her 85th birthday with family and friends. She was born in Whitefish, on Nov. 9, 1925, the daughter of Harold and Nora (Ellis) Bailey.

She graduated from Whitefish High School and soon after married Donald Gene Beller.

Guin and her husband built a log cabin and raised four children in the Deer Park area after spending a few years following construction out of state. In 1963, they moved to Missoula and then Washington state to once again follow construction work.

Guin was a wonderful cook and worked at the Sportsman and Husky House restaurants. She enjoyed the great Montana outdoors by camping, fishing and backcountry horse trips. After retirement, Guin and her husband spent their winters in Arizona and Mexico until a horse accident made it too hard for Guin to travel. They still were often seen exploring the country back roads of Flathead County.

She was preceded in death by baby Dona, who died of SIDS as an infant; her husband, Donald; brother, Robert Bailey; and sisters Elaine Cloud and Phyllis Sirucek.

She is survived by one son, Gerald, of Charleston, W. V. She is also survived by four daughters, Karen Hopseker of Newport, Ore.; Connie Erickson and Susan Clay of Kalispell, and Sara Artley of West Yellowstone, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
