Members of the White-fish Community Garden wish to thank all the participants of Saturday's very successful second annual garden party, which was held on site behind the United Methodist Church on Wisconsin Ave.

The Whitefish Community Garden was started last year, providing members the opportunity to rent garden plots. More than 22 beds were constructed, including community beds where the produce was grown and distributed to our local food bank.

The cost per 4-by-12 plot is $45, and some of the ingredients to fill the bed are provided. If you are interested in renting a plot, contact Kerin at 212-2483 or kerinwhitefish@gmail.com. A $20 deposit is required and a reduced rate may be available upon request.

Thanks to compost bin builder Richard Cohen, bee keeper Scott Kelly, Northwoods Nursery Scott Clark, United Methodist Church of Whitefish, Montana Coffee Traders, Foodbank Farms Scot Blair, Porter Blocks John Porterfield, Bill and Lynn Hendricks for providing baby goats for the children.

Twelve new community members signed up for plots, so come see our garden grow. Donations in any amount may be mailed to Whitefish Community Gardens, P.O. Box 5415, Whitefish MT 59937.
