The Columbia Falls Library Association will hold mini-workshops on gardening techniques Thursday (today), April 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. Workshops include extending your growing season, dehydrating foods, growing herbs, fruit trees and shrubs, canning foods and the benefits of bees. The event is free.

Parents of graduating seniors are invited to attend a meeting Thursday (today), April 8 at Columbia Falls High School to plan the graduation party scheduled for June 5. For more information, contact Lynn Malmberg, 892-7600.

A walking group meets Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Imagine Health. Walk for one hour, rain or shine. Route varies weekly and folks set their own pace. For more information, call 892-4406.

A planning meeting for Heritage Days committee will be Monday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. The committee is in need of volunteers to participate in the planning and execution of events. For more information, call 892-1233.

Tuesday

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, April 13 at 11:45 a.m. at the North Valley Community Room. Guest speaker is Flathead County Commissioner Jim Dupont. Lunch is $10.

North Valley Music School will hold a Music Together class for children ages birth to four years old, along with their caregivers. The class includes music, movement, rhythm and tonal patterns taught by registered instructors. The class starts Tuesday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square and runs eight weeks. The Tykes ‘n Teens Hero Preschool sponsored by the high school Child Development classes runs April 19 to May 28. A Meet the Teens information meeting is Tuesday, April 13 from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at room 113B in the high school. The cost of the session is $25 and runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
