Need to vote on power deal

I attended the Flathead Electric Co-op board meeting on March 20. After listening to the board, I am extremely concerned about spending millions of dollars to join a consortium and sharing our main source of power with companies outside of Montana.

For the past two years, they have been considering options for its members. If joining this consortium has been discussed for two years, why are we just now finding out about this? Why is this information and board minutes not posted on their Web site for members to read?

They must allow the members to vote on this issue, see state law MCA 35-18-317. If you are concerned about your electric rates, energy sources and local jobs, please contact your board member, which you can find at www.flatheadelectric.com. Keep our energy and jobs in Montana.
