Thanksgiving year-round at Klothes Kloset

Thanksgiving continues year-round at the Klothes Kloset.
Volunteers have busy Tuesdays and Thursdays as they donate time and talents to help others.
Activities include quilting, cutting rags, and receiving and sorting donations ranging from clothing to electrical appliances.
Prices are low but special sales are conducted weekly with garments priced at 25 cents each. These are displayed with special colored tags that change weekly. If not sold, clothing goes to ladies who cut rags and save buttons for sales.
Kris Skyberg, manager, prepared annual report presented at World Community Day. It is sponsored by Church Women United. She stated at least one family per week receives some type of assistance. These included 20 bags of clothing, household goods, walkers, bath stools, adult diapers and toilet extenders. Schools, organizations and even animal shelters were assisted.
Breakdown of donations from the Klothes Kloset follows:
Schools included Head Start, Columbia Falls and Canyon. Clothing, in event of emergencies, plus snow pants, coats, shoes, socks, given.
Columbia Falls Little Guy Wrestling received six uniforms, three pairs of shoes, while soccer team received T-shirts.
Christmas at Our House, sponsored by National Guard at the Armory, was given toys and knickknacks.
Clothing was provided for Seventh-Day Adventist Church, which has a Free Store.
Lutheran World Relief received sheets, old blankets, quilt material and baby clothes for layettes.
CASA, with assistance from Methodist ladies and Klothes Kloset sewing room, received blankets and bags.
A quilt for an auction was provided for West Glacier-Coram Firemen.
Six sacks of pop can tabs went to Ronald McDonald House.
Columbia Falls Food Pantry received food left on the porch plus donation jar money. Food Pantry is located just west of the Klothes Kloset.
Old blankets for pets were given to spay and neuter clinics and animal shelters.
Laprobes were given as follows:
Heritage Home, 15; Head Start, 12; Eureka Mountain Manor, 20; Brendan House, 15; Colonial Manor, 15; Lutheran Home, 15. Newborn babies, two.
Girl Scouts delivered 15 laprobes to Montana Veterans Home plus catheter bags sewn at the Klothes Kloset. Columbia Falls Lions received 10 laprobes for summer concert prizes.
A layette was given to Foster Care.
Columbia Falls Library received a box for donations and puppets.
