The Somers/Lakeside PTA will once again host its annual school carnival from 5 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, March 28, at Lakeside Elementary School.

The carnival is one of the highlights of the year on the West Shore and each spring hundreds of families stop in to enjoy 20 different games and activities.

The prize booth will be stocked with a wide selection of prizes and players can win star tickets throughout the evening to redeem.

The 6th grade class will be running the concession stand to raise money for a class trip to Ravenwood Nature Camp.

Tickets are $.25 each when purchased at the door, but can be bought at a discount through Friday - five tickets for $1. A $10 "Play All Night" pass is also available ahead of time ($11 at the door), which allows the holder to enjoy unlimited games play for the duration of the event.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Somers Middle School and Lakeside Elementary School offices.

For more information or to volunteer to work at one of the game booths, call Cherokee Merklinger at 871-5104 or e-mail cmerklinger@hotmail.com.
