A monster fourth-quarter performance wasn’t enough to help the Lady Bulldogs overcome Polson on Saturday, as they lost the Northwestern Class A road game 46-68.

Although Whitefish scored 28 in the final frame, they only scored 18 points combined in the previous three quarters.

The first quarter was especially rough for Whitefish. Polson jumped out to an 18-4 lead. The Lady Pirates led 34-12 going into the half, and Whitefish could never recover.

Kate Klundt led all scorers with 14 points. Jessie Slaybaugh and Torie Powell had four points apiece, and Beth Donovan dropped nine. The Lady Bulldogs got everyone involved, as ten different girls scored.

The Whitefish girls take on Libby at home on Thursday night.
