Wildcats breeze by Eureka, CFHS girls fall short

Columbia Falls built a 40-7 halftime lead over visiting Eureka on Thursday (Jan. 22)  in boys basketball and cruised to a 69-40 nonconference victory.

In girls basketball, Eureka led Columbia Falls by eight at halftime and held on for a 45-38 win in Eureka.

The CFHS teams were scheduled to host Class AA Glacier on Friday night. The varsity girls game was set for around 6:15 p.m., followed by the varsity boys contest at 8 p.m.

In high school wrestling, CFHS was scheduled to host Polson and Whitefish on Saturday (Jan. 24).
