Jacqueline Joyce Nelson, 76, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

Jacqueline was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Whitefish. She grew up in Whitefish and graduated from Whitefish High School.

Primarily a homemaker, Jacqueline volunteered at the hospital in Kalispell and was a member of the Episcopal Church, Rebekah Lodge and Moose Lodge.

She married Thomas S. Nelson in Whitefish in October 1950.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sister Ann Hale; brother George Kolizeras; parents Jack Hagen and Gertrude Gillespie; and by the parents who raised her, Pete and Ada Kolizeras.

Jacqueline is survived by her sons Mallory Nelson and wife Gail, of Chubbuck, Idaho, Pete Nelson and wife Sharon, of La Grande, Ore., and Jack Nelson, of Kalispell; sister Electra Lockridge, of Missoula; brother Lee Klem and wife Shirley, of Missoula; and grandchildren Ryan Nelson, of Bend, Ore., Lindsay Nelson, of Portland, and Jackie Nelson, of Sacramento, Calif.

At her request, there will be no services.
